What is PNP?
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is basically a pathway to Canadian permanent residence for individuals who want to immigrate to a specific province of Canada. Each province has its own PNP programs designed as per its economic and demographic requirements.
Who can apply for PNP?
PNP is designed for workers who:
- Have education, skillset, and work experience which can help the specific province grow their economy
- Wants to permanently live in that province
- Want to become a permanent resident of that province
Every province has its own immigration programs that target specific requirements and groups. Some program streams may target:
- Students
- Businessmen
- Skilled workers
- Semi-skilled workers
How to apply?
How you can apply for PNP depends on the stream under which you are applying. If you meet the eligibility requirements of the PNP program, you have to submit an Expression of Interest and get an Invitation to apply based on scores. After getting an invitation to apply, you need to submit a complete PNP application to get the nomination. After getting a nomination from the province, apply for permanent residence at the federal level.
